Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Offline Converter handles information when you use the app. Offline Converter is published by Hosemi. The current version of the app is designed as an offline-first utility and does not require an account to use its core conversion features.
1. Information We Collect
The current version of Offline Converter does not require you to create an account, sign in, or submit personal profile information in order to use the app's core features.
The app may store limited information locally on your device so that the app can function as expected. This can include:
- recent conversion history, if you keep history enabled
- saved or pinned conversion pairs, if you choose to save them
- settings such as language, theme, precision, and unit preferences
When you open the Privacy Policy page inside the app, the page is loaded from a public Hosemi web address. Like most websites, that request may create standard server logs such as IP address, browser or WebView user agent, request time, and basic diagnostic information needed to deliver and secure the page.
The Android version of the app also includes banner ads served through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. To request, deliver, measure, and protect ads, Google and its partners may collect or receive certain device and network information such as advertising or app identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device and app metadata, diagnostics, and ad interaction events.
2. How Information Is Used
Local data is used only to provide app functionality on your device, such as reopening recent conversions, preserving preferences, and improving day-to-day usability.
In the current version, core conversion calculations are performed locally on-device and do not require a dedicated backend service.
Standard web request logs for the hosted Privacy Policy page, if generated, are used for basic hosting, security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.
Advertising-related information may be used by Google and its partners to serve ads, limit repeated ads, measure ad performance, detect invalid traffic or abuse, and support reporting required for ad operations.
3. Data Storage
Data described in this policy is stored locally on your device until you remove it by clearing app data, uninstalling the app, or changing the related in-app settings where applicable.
If standard web server logs are generated when opening the hosted Privacy Policy page, they are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for operational and security purposes under the hosting setup used by Hosemi.
Data processed by advertising partners is stored and retained under their own systems and policies, not solely on your device. Please review Google's privacy information for additional details about how ad-related data may be handled.
We do not state that all local device storage is encrypted unless the underlying platform guarantees it. If you need device-level protection, please use your device's built-in security features.
4. Sharing of Information
In the current version of Offline Converter, we do not require a user account and we do not operate a dedicated backend for core app functionality. As a result, there is no routine sharing of your conversion history or saved pairs with our servers for the core app experience.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your local conversion history or saved pairs for advertising, profiling, or broker-style data sharing.
However, when ads are shown in the Android app, relevant advertising-related data may be shared with Google Mobile Ads and its demand or measurement partners to serve and measure ads.
5. Ads and Third-Party Services
The current Android version of Offline Converter uses Google Mobile Ads to display banner advertisements. Ads are not required to use the app's core offline conversion features, but ad requests do rely on third-party services operated by Google.
We do not currently use account login, cloud sync, or a dedicated backend for core conversion flows. If a later version adds analytics, crash reporting, account services, or new third-party SDKs, this Privacy Policy should be reviewed and updated before release.
6. Children's Privacy
Offline Converter is a general utility app and is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law. If you believe the app has collected personal information from a child in a way not described here, you should remove the app and contact develop@hosemi.cn.
7. Your Choices
You can manage certain local data directly inside the app by:
- turning off automatic history saving
- turning off pinned or saved combinations
- clearing app data through your device settings
- using your device privacy or advertising settings where available
- uninstalling the app
